Privacy policy

What we collect

Nothing. Codex Bible has no sign-in, no user profile, and no analytics or advertising SDK. We do not receive your name, your email address, your device identifiers, your location, or anything you read, search for, highlight, or write.

Where your content lives

Notes, highlights, bookmarks and reading-plan progress are written to the app's own private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to Bates Center and we cannot read them. If your device or app store has its own backup turned on, that backup is handled by the device maker under their policy, not by us.

Network use

The scripture text ships inside the app, so normal reading works with no network at all. If a future release adds an optional download — an extra translation, for example — it will only run when you ask for it, and it will fetch a file rather than send anything about you.

Third parties

There are no third-party trackers, ad networks, or analytics services in Codex Bible. We do not sell, rent, or share data, because we do not hold any. If you install the app from an app store, that store handles its own download and crash reporting under its own policy — Bates Center does not receive it.

Children

Codex Bible is safe for all ages. Because the app collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.

Your rights

Access, correction, portability and deletion requests normally require us to hold data about you. We hold none. To delete everything Codex Bible has stored, delete the app's data or uninstall the app — that removes your notes and highlights from the device permanently.

Changes to this policy

If a release ever changes what the app does with data, this page is updated before that release ships, and the date at the top changes with it.
